Fifth graders did some serious baking and
cooking for Rosh Hashanan. We made apple crisp and couscous with sweet
additions. We are also working towards every student knowing the Hebrew for the
ingredients of our dishes before Yom Kippur. Special thanks to Regina, Giselle,
and Moshe for volunteering on baking day.

What a great start to the school year. We are a smart, curious, kind bunch. This is the Rosh Hashana tagxedo we created as a class. What words appear big? What words to you recognize?
Coming up: Rosh Hashana baking project and card exchange next Tuesday afternoon. We'll be baking something sweet and making something savory. Parents interested in helping? We need shoppers and food prep help. Email Ms. Basseri if you are interested in helping sbasseri@sha613.org
