Book Buddies

Book buddies is where we teach or help the kindergartens to read.We have book buddies  every Wednesday.  It is really fun. We change book buddies every week I have had Eden,Yosaif, and Talyah.

 I like book buddies because it is really fun to watch them progress. It is also really fun to listen tot them read to you. It is also really fun to read to them and just spend time with your favorite class. I also love it when they sound out the letter and they list all the letters in the alphabet. For example they would say the letter then say the sound the letter makes then they say the animal that goes with it.

This year we have book buddies on wenesday in english and hebrew. They will get a book from their book bags. They would read their books to us. A couple of 5th grade with go on the computer. 

I like book buddies because they would read to you instead you read to them in hebew. You could help them read better. They would read their little flip books with words inside. I also liked at the end if they finish reading they would pick a book out and we would read it to them.

Book buddies

      In 5th grade we have book buddies every Wednesday. In English class they read us a book then they go pick out a book from the library for us to read to them. Sometimes there are not enough kindergartners for us so some of us have to do blogger badge so we can get our own blog. In Hebrew class we go to there classroom and read them a Hebrew book. When we are done reading the Hebrew book to them they choose a game for us to play.

     I like book buddies because you get to make new friends even if they are younger than us. I also like it because we get to be like a teacher to them. We also get to help them read and fix there mistakes in a fun way. I also like how they are so confident to read to us even when they get stuck on long words. Lastly, I like how they don't care how old we are they still want to be our friend.

Book Buddy Post

Every other Wednesday, the 5th graders sit with the kindergartners and listen to them read. Once they finish sharing their books with us, they choose a book for their 5th grade buddy to read to them. There are are not always enough  kindergartners for the 5th graders to have a book buddy so some 5th graders will go to the library to work on blogger, and other stuff.

I love book buddies because the kindergartners get to read to us and we get to help them when they make mistakes or are stuck on something.we get to read together for a long time. I feel like i get to be a teacher. i also like the popscicle stick pointers they use to read to us.

   Every Wednesday my class and I go to the libray to meet our book buddies in kindergarten. I think it was a great idea to have book buddies. First my buddy chooses where he wants to sit, then he reads to me. The buddy usually has 3 books, 1 poem and they also have a word list to read. If they don't know a word the 5th graders help them with sounding it out. I like book buddies I think its good to help younger kids and I also think it is important for the  kindergarteners.

   One of the reasons why I like book buddies is I get to talk to my buddies and meet new kids. I also like to help kids.  Its good for the younger kids to because they get to meet older kids and practice their reading. So I think its good for the 5th graders and the kindergarden class as well.

In book buddy's is when you meet with kindergarten. They read you a book or two then if you finish then we read them a book or two. I switch off being book buddy's with different kids .


I like it because you can remember when you where in that class. It is fun because can have a chance to read to kids. like it because  you are with a different person every time.

Book Buddy

Every two weeks my class will get together with the kindergarteners and we will read to each other. The teachers choose partners for us. First, the kindergarteners have a book bag that has little words on it so they read all the words to us. They also have books depending on their level which they read out loud to us. The last thing that they do to us is they have an a-z chart so if the chart says a-alligater they will say "A- Alligater ah ah ah". When were all done reading I read them 1 book.

I like doing this because it helps them learn some words and get to know the letters more.
