Big Nate Goes For Broke

    Big Nate is someone who doesn't only think about how to help himself but he is someone who thinks about how to help someone else that needs it. For example, once there was someone in the lunch room that was getting bulled and Nate stood up for him and broke his arm. Nate is very talented. For example, he rights comic. In book challenge I have finished almost 18 books and I need only 12 more books.

    I have read all of the Big Nate books and all of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. My favorite series  that I have read this year was maybe Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I think Diary of a wimpy kid because there was a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid and that was my favorite book I have read so far because it was really funny. And the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid is called Diary of a Wimpy kid Hard Luck.

SHA Book Fair

Have you ever been to a book fair? Well if you haven’t I’ll tell you. A book fair is a place where you can buy books. It is like a mini store that sells books and also there are some book fairs that don’t just sell books some also sell toys like pencils, note books, book marks and all these other things. The books are really awesome. For example, there are books about the NFL (football), MLB (baseball) and the NBA (basketball). There are also more books more for kids. For example, FLY Guy books and other things like that.

There is a new Diary of a Wimpy kid book out and everyone was going for that book that the school had to get a lot of books for the book fair. Another book is this book that is called “Hypnotists” I got the last one so the book must have been really good.

The book fair book really is really good since you can get a lot of books and it can help you with your reading.

Character Blog Post: Greg

Greg is eleven and a normal kid that goes to Middle School. He is an average kid and has an older brother named Roddick. Roddick is quite annoying and has a band starring the family except for Greg. He has a little brother named Manny who is treated "like a prince" by their parents.

I think that Greg is a bit awkward because he likes to play video games, is small for his age, and doesn't have many friends at school except for his best friend Rowley. 

Rowley is fat, funny and weird. He sometimes embarrasses Greg. 

Greg is in a bad situation because in middle school only some people  our 

popular, and who ever is popular gets the girls.Greg has loved the girls since forever   

and tries to hang out with them.One day Greg dreams of being popular and gets all the girls.

The main character is Tony.   His friends call him Tony Baloney or TB.  He's 11 years old and he's really immature for his age. Tony is funny and he tries to do funny stuff.  He like to do funny stuff in front of his best friends Mo and Anna. Tony and Mo like to call her Anna Banana. Tony likes to write down his funny stuff and put it in an envelope and send it to his hero David Letterman.  His situation is that he wants to go on his hero's show, David Letterman.

I can relate to Tony because I like to do funny stuff in front of my friends.  I like to make my friends laugh. I am different from Tony because I am more mature than him.

Crash from Crash.

Crash Coogan is a seventh grade  football sensation. He has been making jokes since he was born. Including Penn Webb his vegetarian eating neighbor. He and his best friend Mike can't think of anything better than making Penn Webb's life miserable. When Penn signs up for a cheerleader Crash and Mike think that is hilarious.

When Crash's sister Abbey says she likes Penn Crash isn't that happy. If this book sounds interesting read the book Crash  by Jerry Spinelli. If you like funny books read this book. It has an average rating of 3.72  it has 176 pages of funny reading.

Roan From (Star Wars) Jedi Academy

       Roan always wanted to go to pilot school. His dad and brother went to pilot academy. He thought he was going to get in but he got rejected. He was so mad all his friends got into pilot academy He said he didn't get the letter. But he did. He didn't know where to go all he could think of is going to plant school.

         Roan got a letter from Jedi Academy it said he got in. He told his friends he didn't get in pilot academy. They wore very disappointed . He told them he's going to Jedi academy. They started laughing at first Roan wasn't sure why. But then Roan friends told him baby's go there. so Roans friends laughed more.

        Roan didn't really have friends at Jedi Academy. He didn't really fit in with the kids at Jedi Academy. They wore all really good at the force etc. After time he made a few friends one of there names is pasha. Pasha seemed really nice if I went to Jedi academy he would probably be friend.

I'm not like Roan that much but I do like light sabers. If you like star wars you should read Jedi Academy. But its not very much like star wars. I really liked the book. I would give it a 5 star review. you should read it.

CANDYMAKERS BY WENDY MASS

The personality of Logan, Miles, Daisy, and Philip first Miles. Miles he is in his own world. Miles loves reading so much. Miles is the kind of kid who would do any things for a book. Next Logan his is a nice kid some one wants to be friends. Logan is shy talking too girls.  Now Daisy, Daisy is not shy because she talks too every. She is a happy girl most days. Lastly Philip is really rude. He is more like Business man than a friend.

I understand Logan because he was home schooled so his scared of messing up and getting humiliated. Daisy, I some times I agree with Daisy because I think Philip is rude so when Philip is rude I just want him to shut up so does Daisy. I understand Miles because he loves reading and so do I. I get Philip some times because I just want to be rude some times.

All the kids are 12. The problem is that who is going to win. There is one girl & 3 boys. The girl is here for one thing and it’s NOT winning. All of didn’t come to win just for a different reason. But Logan is the only one who can to win.

Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid

   Greg is in middle school and he has a friend who is running for some sort of president . Greg's friend is named Rolly . Greg is about 12. Greg is a very good person and he has many ideas. Greg also is good at copying an idea that is good and help him to be more  free in school (do what he wants ). I can understand how Greg feels because I also have some problems like Greg. For example, Greg cant find a girl he wants to dance with for some thing like a prom. And I can relate to that because, in P.E we do things that includes being partners with some one. And it is some times hard for me to get a partner.

 

   I think that Greg is feeling upset/happy because he usually gets what he wants but it takes so long its not even funny. And my brother is like Greg because, he usually gets what he wants by not behaving and yelling. but it takes a long time and maybe even a couple of days for him to get what he wants.

 

    Greg and Rolly are best friends until Rolly sees a girl that he likes. And now Rolly is not Gregs friend any more. this is annoying for Greg and I know why. I know because this situation has some times happened to me. For example, I had a friend who use to be my friend and 2 years ago there was a new kid and now they are not my friend. And some times that happens to Greg. 

Frindle

Nick is a 10 year old boy who has made up a word called "frindle" (pen). Mrs. Granger Nicks teacher gave Nick a brilliant idea to make the word "frindle".Now Nick is in trouble because he is in a war with his teacher about stopping this word. Well he can't, this word has gone viral it's spread over the country. How will Nick fix this. Read the book to find out.

 Nick is a troublemaker. He likes to stall class time so he doesn't have to do work. That is how the book started. Nick is the class clown. everyone laughs at his mean jokes.(i wonder how his teachers feels?)
Nick likes to get people in trouble, as long as it is not him.

 I can relate to Nick because i like making jokes. (but i don't like making jokes about the teacher!)
i can also relate because I like making up new words. I also like  being creative. nick did all those things at once, he was creative by making the word "Frindle" he also made   jokes about the frindle. I think Nick and i have a lot in common

Roan From Jedi Academy

Roan is a boy who has a dream of being a pilot, his dad and brother our pilots. Roan even draws cartoons about being a pilot. He and all of his friends really want to go to Tatooine pilot academy. But for some reason Roan doesn’t get in.

So now he has to go to plant school. Is just what Roan thinks…  Soon he gets a letter from master Yoda saying he could go to Jedi Academy, and study the force. But he would have to move to another planet, Roan still goes. He meets lots of friends. Makes posters for the school election. Uses the force. And even joins a light saber battle.

I cannot relate to Roan at all. He can use the force I pick everything up. He has a light saber I have toy sword.

Can you do anything like Roan?

Ramona the Pest by Beverly Cleary

When Ramona first got into Kindergarten she was really nervous. When she got to the class room she liked the teacher Miss Binney. Ramona wished that Miss Binney would like her the best. Ramona wished she could have hair like susan’s since Susan had curly hair, she wished that she could catch someone in her class while running around in circles so she could kiss him, although Ramona wished that she could be like her older sister Beezus who learned a lot in school and Ramona wanted to too.

When Miss Binney got sick Ramona did not like the substitute Mrs. Wilcox. Ramona hid behind a trash can and hoped that no one would see her. A few minutes’ latter two boys saw Ramona and went to get her sister. Sooner or later Ramona was face to face with her sister Beezus. Beezus was tough and told Ramona to get out of her hiding place or she would tell Mrs. Quimby (their mom). Anyhow Beezus took her to the principle and the princible took Ramona to her class.

I can relate to Ramona in a small way. Like sometimes I don’t want to go to school, or I want something that someone else has. And for Ramona she probably wishes that she can be in the 5^th grade like me.

Chase From Storm Runner

   Chase and his dad are the only ones living in his direct family. Chase's mom and sister died in a car crash. His dad got hit by lightning, ever since then his dad pays very close attention to the weather. Chase does not have very much time with his dad. He lives in another family's house. In the other family there is a grandma, father and daughter.             

   Chase is very nice. An example is, he offers to help all of the time. Another example is, he is blaming himself for something he hadn't done. For example, his dad got hit by lightning and he was blaming himself. He is very fond of building things. People ask him questions and he always gives honest answers. He is very protective. An example is when he got the daughter from the other family away from the massive lion. 

   I can relate to Chase. I know why he is protective of other people. He is 
protective of other people because his mom and sister died. I also understand why he helps so much. I know this because he doesn't want to get kicked out of the family's house. I don't know why he wants to be with his dad so much.
