POLLUTION IN THE BIG CITIES

WATERS WONDERS

Panyee, Thailand 1986. On a floating island a group of boys were watching soccer. The boys loved soccer . So one day one of the boys said " Lets become soccer champions"! One of the villagers herd them and started laughing "You want to become soccer champions on this island". The boys thought about the space problem and came up with building there own raft to play soccer on. So they collected old wood from around the village. They worked so hard that they took time out of there day to work on it.Then one day the FINALLY finished.The raft was pretty crooked but they played on. There ball went into the water often, so they had to go in to get it. But when they got out they made the boards wet. So the learned to play on a wet slippery surface. One day they were playing and a boy came with a flyer.

The flyer was for a soccer tournament on the main land. They didn't think they would qualify but they decided to do it for fun.When the boys were about to leave on the boat the villagers had bought them uniforms. They had been watching them play and thought they were good. SO they bought some them. When the boys got to the tournament the were really scared. But after the first round they new they were destined for greatness. They made it to the finals. The game  had a bad start. The other team was really good and it was raining. By half time the other team was up bye two. When they were about to loose hope when they took off there shoes. they scored 2 points but that was not enough to get first place.

Digital Passport

Digital Passport helped me with lots of stuff. For example, it helped with talking on the internet. Another thing it helped me with was not to share any of my private information online like my last name, my birthday and stuff like that.

Digital Passport helped me a lot so I would recommend using Digital Passport. It can change the way you use the internet forever. It is a sight for kid , and before each game it shows a video and the video has a lesson in it and that is pretty cool. So I recommend Digital Passport.    

SCIENCE EXPO

In the Science Expo I helped with the suggestion box. It was also really fun to explore what everything people working on for the past couple of weeks like Reggie's project. Her project was about how gum helps you think better, and I thought that was a really good thing to talk about.

I also thought  the other grades did a really good job. I was really impressed to see first grade running there booth all by themselves. And I also thought kindergartens smoothies where the best smoothies I have ever tasted. And second grades pollution whale, Out of this world.

Self Reflection Narrative

I thought I did a really good job at writing my narrative. I think this because I used strong verbs and a hint of onomatopoeia, and that is what good authors use. I thought I did well on this because i got a three! And that is a really good score.

It was also VERY hard for me , I mean trying to  come up with a essay in less then a week that's CRAZY! It was also very hard to pick what to write about the crazy events that happen in my life because there are so many. But either way I picked one so that was good.

Because Of My Family

I was born October 14, 2003. My life is like a wild ride you can never get off of.

 I got asthma when I was 1 and a half, it was kind of scary sleeping at the hospital when I wasn’t even 2. A year and a half went by and Ariana was born October 10, 2006. Ariana was big handful all she did was cry and eat, and that was really annoying.

 9 months later my cousin Mayer got married. At the wedding me and my cousin Sophia were flower girls. When we were walking down the isle we froze picked up all the petals that we dropped and ran to are parents, everybody was laughing at us.

 Mayer told my mom,

“ I don’t mind there only 3”.

My mom just laughed.

A year later my other cousin Josh got married in Miami. We got to stay at the Fountain Blue, which is a nice hotel! The morning of the hotel was like a herd of wild animals entered the hotel. Again me and my cousin Sophia were flower girls  but this time Ariana was a flower girl with us. But this time we knew how to walk down the isle.

That same year my grandma got cancer, Luckily it was small unlike my cousin Ari Grashin his cancer took the best of him.

2 years went by and FINELY my other cousin Zach also known as the guy that works at garbanzo bros or screen play writer etc. Either way he got married to a REALLY nice Australian girl named Ella.

Everyone who has siblings knows that they can be a BIG handful. Just like my siblings Ariana and Noah. Ariana is a dance machine, because if you play music she will dance. And Noah, It’s kind of annoying how he over thinks things.

 Last year (2013) we went to Hawaii for Pesach. It was really cool to be able to wake up and eat delicious food and then getting into the ocean and relax. When we woke up the next morning in Hawaii they served REALLY good food.

That summer we went to L.A! It was pretty cool having all those kosher restaurants there where. While in L.A we went shopping at really cool stores like Karen Michele and a lot more.

Now we are in February. My brothers bar mitzvah just past and 450 people RSVP for it was a mad house. The party was really fun because my entire family came.

My relatives are crazy head to toe. But they are the best siblings a girl can ever have.

Winn Dixie Essay

Everyone has sad moments in life. Like in Because of Winn Dixie by Kate Di Camilo, everyone had a sad moment. But if you have friends like Opals in Winn Dixie there is no reason to be sad. In the beginning Opal and Winn Dixie meet in a store called Winn Dixie. Right from the start Winn Dixie had changed Opals life. And at the end Opal realized that everything is better with friends.

Opal and Winn Dixie meet in a store, she was supposed to bring home food but instead she brought home a dog. If I ever brought home a dog my dad would blow his top. It was also like the preacher he didn't want a dog until Winn Dixie came. So maybe Winn Dixie was sent by her mother as a sign that she still cared but it never said that in the book, and it could be also a sign of friendship. And I also understand why she said “ That’s my dog”. I think she said that because she didn't want him to go to the pound, and for him not to have a sad life.

Winn Dixie changed Opals family’s life, for example He made the preacher happy. By transforming his strait faced self into a lightened up person. In addition he gave Opal many new friends like Ms. Franney, Gloria Dump, Otis, Sweetie pie Tomas etc.

Everything is better with friends for example, Ms. Franney is really nice, and Gloria is partially  blind but is a fantastic listener. When Opal lost her mom she felt like she had a hole in her heart. But that was filled with friendship by her friends.

To conclude my essay I want you to remember how Opal and Winn Dixie met in the store. Also how Winn Dixie changed Opals family’s life. And lastly that everything is better with friends.

Trimester Reflection

I am really proud of me for finishing all of my writhing assignments. And trust me its harder then you think. I am proud of this because it was really hard for me. But for other people it might be really easy but for me it is the exact opposite.

I am not the best at math, and really want to be good at it. I think i am a good reader because i am almost done with book challenge and that is really exiting for me. I really want to improve on math because I really want to get into a certain high school and you have to be really good in math. Well thats all I have to say.  

Book Challenge

Martin Luther King was born January 15, 1929. Martin was a smart boy and occasionally pulled a prank or two. As Martin got older whites and blacks started having different benches water fountains etc. When Martin would go to sleep he thought about the perfect world he could be living in. An dthen look at todays world.

The moral of the story is to never stop believing. I think it's the moral because Martin didn't want violence he wanted a peaceful protest and this all started with a dream.

Have you ever had a dream that you thought might change the world?  

Winn Dixie

The Preacher (Opals dad) changed a lot over the book. In the beginning the Preacher was very strait faced and serious. And when Winn Dixie came he lightened up. A LOT. I think he changed because of Winn Dixie. My dad is also like the preacher strait faced and doesn't want to get a dog.

The Preacher has changed SO much over the book for example, he was never that happy until Winn Dixie came. So I think Winn Dixie is a very happy dog (also makes people happy.) So if your parents are strict try and convince them to get a dog. You probably have a 12% chance of getting a dog.

Litmus Lozenge

Miss. Franny compares everything in life to a Litmus Lozenge. For example, life can be sweet and sad. I would also compare stuff in life to a Litmus Lozenge because life can be sweet and sad like if you get a puppy thats sweet. And losing a race in sad.

I think Opals life is also compared to a Litmus Lozenge because she lost her mom when she was only three, and I think that is really sad. But she also has a lot of other friends. Her friends are like a solid shoulder she can always lean on. Now lets get back on topic, like I said life is like a Litmus Lozenge sweet sad and you never know when life can take a twist.

book challenge

I am currently reading the Amazing Voyage. In this book there is a terrible witch that takes over fantasy land where they take Strongheart the last known giant. Sterling the silver dragon princess. Thunderhorn the king of elves. Puss and boots, and Geronimo Stilton. If I could change the book title I would change it to Land of Adventure because the adventure would not stop coming.

I thought that the book was very interesting i mean paring up a cat, mouse, giant, dear and a princess.Also the way way they help each other out is literally out of this world. I have a connection with the dear i like being known for someone who is smart. And also being the person who is kind and helpful.

Book Challenge

 Harry Houdini is a phenomenal magician. He grew up in Europe and moved to America looking for money. As the years past he wanted to be famous. So he did street acts. He needed a assistant so he used his brother. Wen his brother messed up on a great trick he fired him. That's when he met Bess, and got married shortly after.

Houdini has helped america with a lot of things for example he taught wounded solders how to escape German handcuffs during the war . Houdini loved children one of his biggest shows money went to the local orphanage. When I grow up I would like to be like Houdini and help people in need and be remembered forever  

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

   Greg just celebrated Christmas and got not the best gift. It would have been a video game but his mother mixed up the gift. Rowley (his best friend) got him a big wheel bike.And Rowly got the video game that Greg wanted.

When Greg was 7 he asked his uncle Charlie to get him a Barbie dream house for his soldiers. He ended up buying him a beach barbie.Greg bought his parents a mug and a foam finger that said #1 parents.

Character Blog Post: Greg

Greg is eleven and a normal kid that goes to Middle School. He is an average kid and has an older brother named Roddick. Roddick is quite annoying and has a band starring the family except for Greg. He has a little brother named Manny who is treated "like a prince" by their parents.

I think that Greg is a bit awkward because he likes to play video games, is small for his age, and doesn't have many friends at school except for his best friend Rowley. 

Rowley is fat, funny and weird. He sometimes embarrasses Greg. 

Greg is in a bad situation because in middle school only some people  our 

popular, and who ever is popular gets the girls.Greg has loved the girls since forever   

and tries to hang out with them.One day Greg dreams of being popular and gets all the girls.
