When Abraham Lincoln was a young boy he loved to read.
He would go from door to door in his neighborhood to see if they had
books for him to read. When the Indian war was over Abraham began studying law.
When Abraham passed his exams and became a lawyer he moved to Springfield,
Illinois to work with Major Stuart. He met Mary Todd and married her in her
sisters parlor.
More and more people got to know Abraham and he was elected into
congress. He went to Washington. In 1860 he was nominated for president and won.
He had to work all day long and did not have time for his family. After his
hard work one day, Mary wanted to cheer him up so she asked him "do you
want to go to the theater?" and he said "yes." Halfway through
the play a shot was fired and Abraham was killed.
What would the world be like if Abraham Lincoln had not been
killed?

Dear Beloria,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you read this book. Abraham Lincoln was such an important person in the history of our country.
It's always interesting to wonder what would have happened if he wouldn't have died so soon. I think he lived long enough to accomplish what he was supposed to do...lead the country through the Civil War!
Great blog post! Keep up the great work!

Hi Beloria,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you told us he went from door to door looking for books.
If he was not killed I think there would be more free rights!
