Pollution
By Nina
Imagine this, that 54% of Washington streams that are used
drinking water for 2,002,833 people are unchecked for its like pollution. That
were like drinking from a bowl of pollution. How is pollution and trash that
were putting in affecting the Puget Sound?
How is litter a problem? We use too many plastic bags.
Plastic is a threat to animals suffocate or kill animals. Someone found 20
plastic Bags in an animal. We also get these pollutant inside of us when we eat
fish.
The problem starts with us. We get yard chemicals, oil,
grease, bacteria from pets poop into the Puget Sound. On a normal day most
likely 140,000 lbs. chemicals in the Puget Sound because we put pollution in
the Puget Sound. Every time we go some were on a bus, car, train we create
pollution. Untreated pollution goes into storm drains.
Pollution is killing the Puget Sound. 521,432 pounds of toxic
waste goes into the Puget Sound. Too much pollution is going into drains and
killing animals. We can tell that we are ruining the Puget Sound now it’s
getting harder to ignore because animals are dying like fish because toxic and
pollution that we put in when we eat fish we get pollution inside us. If we
don’t stop the problem will get worst if our population get to big to stop.
What do you think what would happen if we all used up the resources.
I first started to not care about the earth and throw trash on the ground and
now I know not to throw trash on the ground any more.
