Orca Whales Need Help By Shoshana Behar

Orca whales are the most contained marine animal. Why are they the most contained marine animal? Not everyone knows. Here’s a little clue, people (like SeaWorld) Take them to captivity and make them do silly tricks. Orca whales are held captive some people help some people don’t

Orca whales are held captive. Dawn Broncheau died because of an orca whale. Dawn always loved orca whales and people say she still does. Some sources say that performing captive whale shows are brutal. When Dawn Broncheau died it just shows that you should not keep orca whales held captive. Children love orca whales they don’t love seeing people die because of them.

What orca whales eat? Most southern orca whales have a diet of salmon. They like Chinook salmon most. Chinook salmon is also endangered. Scientists are worried about the lack of food for the whales. Chinook salmon is also the largest species of salmon. Salmon and our orcas are both almost at the place where they might get extinct.

How to help. Seaworld.org said, “Chemicals that are used on land enter water ways through runoff eventually end up in oceans as pollution.” To stop orca whales from being extinct is to stop littering, start to reuse, reduce and recycle, also try not to waste like turn off your lights before you leave the house.

Can you believe orca whales are the most contained marine animal? Orca whales live 50-80 years old. These are some ways to help. Dispose litter garbage or pet waste, reduce reuse recycle, and use less electricity.  Do you think orca whales are worth saving? What can you do to save the orcas?
