Because of my Grandma

My life was perfect I visited my Grandma  every day we talked about what I did at   school and what I did this weekend, she loved to hear me play the piano and sing      she loved music. Something that everyone loved about her is that she loved to help people she used to give jobs to people that she didn't  now everyone loved her she used to say that if you help people they will help you back when you need it, that’s true.
But in 2007 to 2008 my Grandma  went to the doctor because she had a pain in her    back so when she got there the doctors examined her and they said that she had cancer in her  kidney my mom was surprise because she was a healthy women how did she get cancer!!!!!she said . My family were upset but my Grandma didn't look upset she was calm and looked like nothing has happened. The days passed and she was having a treatment with a lot of different doctors, one of them said that she will less than a week another a month so we took her home to have her last moments with as but she lived for 9  months!! we were so happy we couldn't believe it, the doctors ether.                                                                                                                                                                                But after those long 9 months she was in the hospital she was feeling really bad, my mom knew she was going to die so she called my sister and me and we talked to her for the  she was really excited, I talked to her about how much I loved her and how much I was going to miss her. One minute later my Grandma told my mom "you shouldn't cry be a strong women" .After my mom said silently it’s time than there was a moment of silent a minute after she die. No on cried. My Grandma was a positive women she was happy all the time and never cried  I  am never going to forget her.

No one is going to live forever that’s life.

  2. Dear Kebira,

I really appreciated your personal narrative about your grandmother. I was very close with my grandmothers, too. They were so special to me, and I was very sad when they died. I think about them all the time, and appreciate all of things that they taught me.

It sounds like your grandmother was a wonderful person. Your narrative described how loving she was, and how your family took such great care of her. You did a great job giving examples, so I felt like I understood your relationship with your grandmother.

Thank you for writing this narrative!

    Sincerely,

    Jamie (Sam's mom)
