What we have been Doing this week in 5th grade

In math we have been playing games to practice adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, and here is an example, 1/3 + 3/6=5/6. A few of us are starting a paper airplane unit.
We will throw paper airplanes and track various stats like total distance and air time.

In Social Studies, we are watching a show about the American Revolution, so far we have watched two episodes an my favorite is the first one .My favorite things from the first episode were when John Rolfe planted tons of tobacco and it grew like crazy,I also liked when The Americans surprise attacked the British. Lastly,I liked the part when Paul Revere warned the Americans that the British were coming.

  1. Dear Ben,
The game you were talking about in math is really fun. My favorite part of the show is when the Patriots surprise attack the Red Coats. I liked it when the Patriot climbs up the tree to kill the general of the Red Coats. I think he should of killed him the first time he shot not the 3rd time, but you know what they say 3rd times the charm. Do you think he should of killed him the first time?

    1. Dear Judah,
i think if he shot him the first time it would have been over very quickly maybe he wanted his death to be long and painful.

  2. Dear Ben,

I thought your blog post was amazing you did a really good job on that. on math I think I did good on that and worked very hard. I liked the Revolutionary War shows a little because some parts were dis costing. How do you think the Revolutionary war shows were? How do you think the British felt when they lost? and why?
